Jan 19, 2022 - Communities across BC are vulnerable to many different natural, meteorological, and technological hazards. Research has shown that only a small fraction of Canadian households are aware of and prepared for hazard-related emergencies. Dr. Reynolds and Ms. Tanner will discuss why helping to educate and inform community residents about local hazards can help raise awareness, recalibrate risk perceptions, and encourage household emergency preparedness that together helps build a more hazards-resilient community.
