February 15, 2023. Due to climate change and the increasing threat of floods and wildfires impacting communities, there is a need to conduct community damage assessments. If this is done in an orderly, efficient and timely way, this assists in decreasing the recovery time period. This presentation will cover, with examples from the actual damage assessments, how Rapid Damage Assessment (RDA) can be used as an effective tool for both situational awareness and useful information for recovery.
